I am a technical trader and an aerospace engineer with more than 15 years of investing and trading experience. My engineering background enables me to apply systematic, rules-based techniques to my decision-making. I’ve been on the Covestor platform as a manager since 2007 and have outperformed the S&P 500 by more than 90% (net of fees) between inception and the first quarter of 2013. My approach is disciplined and unemotional. It uses a top-down research process and a rules-based strategy. I seek to beat the S&P 500 in both up and down markets while generating less volatility.

Swing trading strategy that owns or shorts stocks that are more volatile than the S&P 500. My rules-based system seeks to reduce drawdowns and beat the benchmark index with lower volatility. My goal is to find stocks within strong trends that are moving sideways in the near term, and buy or short the ones that I think are likely to resume their moves.
