Apple stock tends to fall after big product launches

Thanks to the folks at Statista for putting these charts together. With the iPhone 5 due to be announced soon, it's interesting to see that only two of the five previous iPhones caused the stock to appreciate 4-5 days later. Click to enlarge:

Since AAPL's typical price behavior around announcements is now in public domain, chances are this pattern will vanish. The question is how it will morph. Three options: a) price action becomes fully random b) decline will happen prior to the announcement c) stock will have a tendency to rise after announcement because traders sold in anticipation of the decline. Don't forget that this stock is one of the favorite toys of hedge funds.
We'll see. My Covestor Model is long AAPL and I have been selling some into strength prior to the announcement.
